LOTO projects

  • A LOTO project (Lock Out-Tag Out) is based on the idea that there should be no residual energy in a machine that can perform an uncontrolled movement of an element.
  • An identification of the existing energy sources in the machine or installation is carried out to see what residual energy can be stored once the machine has been stopped.
  • Then, it is determined whether this energy must be blocked or dissipated before allowing access to the interior of the machine to carry out any specific operation.

ATEX projects

  • According to RD 618/2003 and RD 144/2016, activities that use, store and handle products that can generate explosive vapours or dusts must have a correct classification of these areas and an assessment of the risk in each of the classified areas, in order to prevent the explosion of these vapours.
  • The risks associated with existing explosive atmospheres are identified, studied and classified, assessing the risks of explosion in the classified areas and identifying the measures to be taken in these areas.
